Can anyone recommend a good whole house water filter (with no electric supply needed), I have installed an inline compact water filter but did not make much difference to scale. Live in a hard water area.

Thanks for replying doggit, very helpful. Ideally would of level the walls off first as all walls in kitchen are out, unfortunately time was very limited so could not do so. When tiling kitchen between worktop and cabinets which have walls going out by 7mm from one end to the other along 2.5m horizontally and a couple of mm vertically. What is the best solution to lay them level using extra adhesive or how the walls are?
