    He was running as N. D. Wyatt & Co Ltd but went bust leaving people well out of pocket. - He did CVL before poeple could wind him up. He's now a sole trader trading as N.D. Wyatt Amongs other things hese the one who made such a class job of some Velux windows! NOT (see previous posts here).

    Velux Window Advice

    Hi I need a bit more advice on the velux problem please. Managed to track the builder down and he reckons the reason for the tiles kicking up is that the roof uses 19mm battens and should have 25-38mm battens. Is this correct or just BS. Thanks Racey

    I have had a couple of Velux windows fitted in the loft and from the outside the tiles are bowed up where they rest on the flashing for the window. Is this normal installation as every other velux I have seen the tiles meet the window at the sides and they dont bow up, they seem to be level...

    Hi Many thanks for the reply. I am nor sure if the joints are staggered the rooms all have coving, if I went down the overboarding route then presumably I would have to replace the coving as well. Cheers Racey

    I have an old 70's bungalow that has platerboard ceilings that have large cracks across them where the plasterboard sheeting is joined (nor sure if the joins where taped). Is it possible to have this sorted by having the ceilings re skimmed as I dont want to have to replace the ceilings...
