    FTTP Phone line connection

Thats the trouble I've got. Its not a standard BT phone line - Its from the fibre company, direct from the FTTP box. The extension works if i connect it up using standard terminal blocks into a RJ11 to BT socket adaptor. I just need to know which wall socket and wiring to use :)

    FTTP Phone line connection

If anyone can help it would be REALLY appreciated.... Just had FTTP installed. The Fibre box has 4 ethernet RJ45 ports and one live RJ11 phone port which works fine with my home phone plugged into this port. I need to utilise my existing phone wiring around the house, so have joined into the...

    balanced cold, and cold pipe

Yes, thanks again. I know what you mean, but the cold goes somewhere under the floorboards! I've sorted the upstairs system out and will be lining it up with the downstairs balanced cold. I'll have to ask my plumber what the other cold is for when he second fixes. Thanks again, you've...

    balanced cold, and cold pipe

Many thanks for that-the only thing that has confused me is I have a hot, cold, balanced cold and 'blue plastic'mains water inlet pipe. Does this make sense?

Thanks Jeds, really good explanation. What I'm trying to get my head round though is if there was no ventilation at all (which there is with trickle vents etc) what would happen? So to elaborate further, if my proposed ventilation is inadequate what's the worse that could happen. Also when...

lighting switch from a 13amp ring main

I've not yet tested it to see if it is a ring, if it was a spur off a spur what would the implications be just to supply a 60 watt outside light?

lighting switch from a 13amp ring main

Good point, I totally get where you are coming from, and now feel a bit of a numpty! Just a slight variation on your proposed - I want to get rid of the double socket, so if I connected the 2, 2.5mm cables straight into the load of the fsu would this still be ok. Cheers for the advice by the way
