Can you adjust the height of the cutting wheel. If so then have it as high as possible so that the wheel is not cutting up through the tile but across it.
If not then i quess you are just going to have to either score the cut line first or support with tape (the latter may not offer much...
If it is going to be a wet room then i would tank as ply (even the so called water reisistant stuff) does not like sitting in water for prolonged periods of time. If it is not going to be a wet room i would not bother as water will not be on the floor very much or in large quanities. If you do...
If you do not want a large step try 6mm 'NO MORE PLY'. I have just put it down in my kitchen diner (15m2) so i could tile on top as it is floor boards under. It makes a very solid base and add some (all be it not much) insullation to the floor. It is slightly more expensive the Ply but as the...
It really does not matter which way around you do it....the tile will stick either way providing you bed it down properly. You should not have big blobs on the tiles though...there needs to be some air gaps in the adhesive....use a spreader to get a nice level layer with peaks and troughs...

I have checked the wiring and it has power at all terminals (HW and CH). The programmer is obviously sending a signal but nothingelse is happening.
I checked the room thermostat and all the wires appear to be dead...no power at thermostat. How can this be if the programmer has power and is...
Just to let you all know that the 50/4 deos not have a PCB so dont worry i wont be attempting to change iit myself.
Thanks for you posts though. I dont resent paying a professional as i am a professional myself (not boiler though) and understand the fees involved to keep myself and knowledge...
can anyone tell me what fuse rating is in the PCB (2amp, 3amp). I know it will prob be on the fuse but wanted to pick one up on my way home.
Thanks
Rob
Thanks for that Dave!
That was my next port of call when i get home.......any ideas if it is not blown? Ive heard that the solenoid or gas valve could cause this problem but dont really see how a power surge that blew the fuse could knacker the solenoid or gas valve.....but im no gas...
