    Potterton Combi 80 nightmare

Hi, Still unable to locate the leak in concrete and even pulled up the kitchen carpet today for a better look. Just a thought but we haven't been able to run the DHW supply on its own since this problem started. If the CH is set to off and the pressure is low we cant run the hot tap for...

Ok thanks guys, wont bother with that then. Any ideas on the water in our bag that we attached to the pipe? is that enough to be losing pressure or should we be expecting gallons of it coming out!

    Potterton Combi 80 nightmare

Hi No we haven't tried that yet, but will give it a go. Is there anything in particular we should look out for when buying leak sealant? also we have kept the bag over the PRV out pipe which goes outside and it has a small bit of water in it when checked today (by small i mean about a...

    Potterton Combi 80 nightmare

Hi all thanks for all your replies. Were working through them all one at a time! Ripping up the floor is going to be our last option as there's hell of a lot of concrete floor! When the heating's running the floor does get warm in the lounge as the pipes are quite close to the surface...

Is there any way a Corgi plumber can trace the leak using todays modern technology? Could it be anything else? Lots of posts mention the expansion vessel as a problem, although i think thats if the pressure is going up not down!

    Potterton Combi 80 nightmare

Our thoughts exactly but we cant find one! Our lounge is 30ft long and we have had all the carpet up. The pipes don't run very deep under the concrete so when we have had a leak before it was easy to find as the carpet was wet. Im getting worried as surely we'd be swimming by now as it's...

    Potterton Combi 80 nightmare

Hi, All the downstairs of the house has concrete floors. We've checked all the floors as we did have a pipe burst under the lounge floor about 3 yrs ago and it was replaced. 2 yrs ago we had the whole system checked as we had a problem with the water pressure in the bathroom taps. The...

    Potterton Combi 80 nightmare

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. The pump seems to be working fine and i think the only reason the AAV blew was because the pressure was just on 0 this morn (being impatient i couldn't wait for hubby to refill before using water!). When we re-fill the system to 1.5 all the rads work fine...
