We have had a crack for some time in the plaster on the inside of the external back wall of the house (extension) where the external door is located. Plaster has now started to fall out of it (see pictures). What would be the best way to repair this please? Thanks

Not going to bother removing the embossed paper in the lounge but it has been painted with silk paint. Can I paint matt paint over it or not? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. If there are alot of cracks though would it not be advisable to have a go at lining?
