I have tonge and groove panaling on the walls in my kitchen, and do not really fancy demolishing the kitchen to remove it. Is there any kind of plaster i can use over the panaling for a flat wall finish ?

I have also been looking a a solid pine floor, which looks a little more hardy. Would this be a better finish ?
