Removing cover from a Bristan SINGLE CONTROL shower mixer

Advise I can only really think of is to use a socket wretch rather than a adjustable, better grip. If you giving some buff an its not moving I'd try taking it off the wall and trying again with a padded vice. Failing them i'll be honest i'd be either talking to Bristan see if they will...

    Bristan Shower Runs Cold

@ Imnotaplumber Unequal pressures are not the issue. Bristan make their showers to work on a pressure ratio of 5:1 (like most companies) so unequal pressure problems will only normally pop up if your gravity hot cold mains. The biggest problem you have is that you've not given us what...

Removing cover from a Bristan SINGLE CONTROL shower mixer

To take the chrome shroud off you need to undo a grub screw on the underside. Once undone you can get the shroud off by pulling, the seal kit on this unit was SK1600-1 and a new cartridge is SK1600-2.

    Bristan cold shower

The Bristan Comet was a bar valve from memory, is your a bar style?? If it is the Comet bar valve, there should be a grub screw on the underside of the temperature handle. Undo this and the cartridge should pull out. Once you pull it out there are two filter meshes which you can give a...

    Bristan shower sometimes cold

A problem such as this could indicate and problem with either the pump or the shower itself. My advise at this point is to start at the shower, as this will remove it from the list of problems so to say. With these Bristan showers the cartridges have an internal thermostat which can stick...
