    Clay pipes disintegrated

Morning. Intend to dig up the old stairs underneath the kitchen window. Want to get rid to park there anyway so it’s a bonus if there’s a pipe. Otherwise the sump area is the winner, in front of the garage where there’s a large area. Don’t fancy extending the guttering across the side as it’ll...

    Clay pipes disintegrated

Can’t see any other drains in the street. All the neighbours have soil pipes at the rear. I do have 2 toilets. Pic is the downstairs in the extension. It’s the little window from the pic where the concrete is. Been working but will start digging it up. Hoping there are pipes underneath.

Will do. Thank you for all your help. Just looking at the run where the soil pipe could be. Think it would be easier the toilet waste pipe / shower pipe being just outside rather than the run under the kitchen floor... *fingers crossed*

    Clay pipes disintegrated

No worries, been working from home mon, tue, hence the daylight pics. There is a downstairs toilet in the shower room and a sink so I’m thinking there may be a pipe underneath the old stairs where the kitchen and extension are. The shower water disappears into a down pipe too. Will be unable...

Roofline shown. There is one other down pipe the other end on the neighbours end. The next pic is the garages. Mine to the right. The return pipe wrapped in foam is from the combo boiler in the loft. The soil pipe is in the back garden between the neighbours house as shown in the pics...

Been a busy week in the office. I will take pics tomorrow of the drive

    Clay pipes disintegrated

Hugh, the way the pipe falls toward the non concrete gravel area of the drive may suggest it perhaps went into a make shift soak away. I am going to try and dig down by the side of the house where the downstairs shower ok is as there may be some pipe work below there perhaps. Just got to drill...

Tel, there are no man hole covers. I will post a pic later. There is only one down pipe at the front and one at the back. The pic I’ve shown of the start of the trough was where the gulley was. I can put the pipes back down and show where they were. There is however a raised stair to the garden...

    Clay pipes disintegrated

Hi Wayners. That’s the issue. The pipe doesn’t go anywhere. I have a down pipe in the back garden but would have to go through a garage or a set of concrete steps which would be too pricey

The pipe was underneath the down pipe. It didn’t go anywhere !! Just the run I’ve dug down. Lots of cracked and smashed clay pipe. The trough I’ve dug is where the pipe pieces were. It’s just disappeared now. Which is why I’m thinking of a soak away
