Risk of leaks on a combi conversion?

Balance of probability is it won't leak. If it does then you had a leak anyhow and the work has just highlighted the fact. If it was a massive issue, trust me you would know. And if If was a massive issue Watchdog or the customer crusaders Martin Lewis or Allbright would let you know. Yep a...

Risk of leaks on a combi conversion?

With the greatest of respect- if you pressure test and it leaks how are you any better off. In 25 years I've only had 2 maybe 3 significant issues. How many customers are going to pay you you to prove they have a leak prior - zero

    New Boiler payment when faulty

I'll be honest @johnny2007 in 30 years I have never known a boiler manufacturer swap a boiler. The contract the OP has is with the installer, which would be covered under consumer rights - this makes everything the installers problem. As an installer I have swapped two boilers as it was...

    New Boiler payment when faulty

Did the installer complete the Benchmark commissioning in the boiler book? Just get Ideal out and they will repair if its a fault and advise if its an installation fault. Whatever the outcome this is the installers problem !

    New Boiler payment when faulty

Ah, so this only happens on the bath? This is a common issue with some makes of combi (those without a flow restrictor). What size boiler is it 26, 32 or 40kw?

    New Boiler payment when faulty

If they are coming 5 days from last Friday, I really can't see what the installers problem is. His cashflow issues aren't your problem, he probably paid on a trade account.....or is this a cash off the books job?

    New Boiler payment when faulty

The OP hasn't confirmed if the water temperature increases with lower flow rates.

    New Boiler payment when faulty

Undersized gas could cause this issue. As an installer they should be registering the boiler and arranging the warranty call. The boiler is working, just not quite how it should. If you factor in Xmas etc then the response time is reasonable. If it was dead out of the box I think replacement...

    New Boiler payment when faulty

Tell him to F off, its part of running a business - **** happens and it costs you ££££. This is part of the reason our charges seem high, any decent business factors in the grief! If you reduce the flow through the tap does the temperature increase ?

    Vertical Radiator issues

Style over substance will always end badly. I fit loads of this crap and tbh yes its generally a downgrade from the existing emitter in the room . Radiators look like radiators to perform a function rather than coset the needs of - furniture or vanity, stick a 600x1000 K2 in and be warm
