I have had Builders in who have installed a bathroom (amongst other things) and (amongst other problems) have not earth bonded, the now fully tiled bathroom.

The contract has a clause stating we must agree to go to...
We had Buiding Control in to over see the installation of an RSJ accross a wall that was knocked down. That was nothing to do with the boiler or bathroom installation though which was done way after.
If he had been registered would he have had to notify building control?
I'm just looking at...
We have had a new boiler system put in the house - by him, as well as a new bathroom. The only reason he didnt scratch the tiles is cause he put these on last and then buggered off - ha ha.
Whats Part P mean - sorry no knowledge here.
If its not legal and only a code am I stuffed...
thanks..
No plastic piping in the house at all, all copper.
I'm in dispute with this idiot builder and think this is a case for breach of contract since it would be expected to be earth bonded under that regulation. If its not a legal requirement I would guess he can just state that it...
Hi
My builder has installed and fully tiled my bathroom and then realised he has not earth bonded any of the pipework.
He says it doesn't really matter as all the pipework is bonded elsewhere around the house.
Is he right? Is it a legal issue - should my bath, toilet, bd, shower, sink be...
My builder has gone off the job leaving an open pipe (which will eventually be the drain for a sink) connected directly into the soil pipe and is now smelling up my utility / kitchen.
Is this against any regulation or just bad building/plumbing.
He has additionaly left the soil pipe uncapped...
Hi
I have an old boiler which will get replace but AFTER christmas.
Its been fine but now I can no longer get the pilot to stay alight. It started switching itself off in the last few days and I had to relight the pilot each time but now it can be relit. (or rather it won't stay on when I do...
I have a light fitting consisting of 7 x 10w halogen bulbs.
The fitting has a transformer though I no not what sort but it is NOT dimmable. This is my problem I'd like it dimmable so I'm going to change it if i can but the type of transformer i need is confusing.
I need one thats takes over...
ahhh i think i may be mistaken as to what is a gang.
I want one plate with a dimmer and a rocker on it. i thought that was 2 gang but i am probably incorrect here.
it appears to be my easiest way out of this lightng problem
thanks
Im looking for a 2 gand plate though. If i cant dim the centre lights I will just have it on / off with my halogen spots dimmable. thats why i'd like a plate with one dimmer and one off /on all on the same thing rather than having to wire in two switches which will be a mess and a pain...
My problem buzzing comes from the central light and I have no buzz problem from the downlights on the other dimmer. (If I wire only those up no buzz) If i wire only the central light fitting I have buzz. So my problem is the central light
Belows a link to the fitting i bought.

I have a double LV dimmer I've attempted to fit to two sets of lights.
a) A set of 6 halogen downlights which operate and dim fine.
b) a central 7x10w halogen light fitting
the central fitting buzzes like crazy both at the switch and the light fitting.
I realises a slight buzz is usual but...
