Bugger grrrrrrr new switch fitted new cut in ( there is only one i assume) fitted. Fan still not kicking in and oven only hitting half the desired setting ie 200 only gets to 110 max, 180 gets to 90. Ping..... Were looking at the element arn't we.

Mmm not seen anything regarding a second element anywhere on any of the spare sites, no obvious heat coming from the base of the oven. Am gong to run a few more tests over the coming days as i now can check the oven temperature and will be looking to see it the temp gets over 65, but clearly...

Popped out to the shop's and before we left we turned the oven on to 200 so could check it when i got back, and everything is working, fan kicked in full temperature, did the same yesterday and no fan and a cool oven. I am aware that the main oven has its own element and thermostat separate...

Simple chat please i can normally find my way around things but am no electrician lol. Cut in stat operates at 65 sooooo what does this do as there is heat in the oven. There is as far as i know no temp sensor just the oven thermostat, i can get hold of a temp sensor which i will try and dig out...

I have replaced the main oven thermostat that sits inside the main oven and connects to the oven control knob via an oven control switch ( which i now suspect). the oven is heating up now, and cooling down and reheating but not to to the control settings ie- i set the knob to say 180, the light...

Hi all i have posted an issue with this oven before where the main oven fan doesn't always seem to come on and the oven isn't heating up correctly ie oven heats up reaches temp, cools down slightly but doesn't kick back in, i have now replaced the main oven thermostat and the issue still remains...

Playing up again, fan not always coming on, sometimes heating up and regulating sometimes not, am going to just replace the thermostat and fan motor and see what happens.
