    creda cond. dryer T620CW

I also have the same model Creda. I had a problem with it heating up but after replacing the timer switch all seemed to be OK. However it still takes an age to dry clothes. I had a vented dryer before this and it was far more efficient. Is there something I should be doing? And yes I do...

    Saving Costs

I have just had a new condensing system boiler installed. I originally programmed it to heat up the HW from 6:30am to 10:30pm every day. However when I had a visit from the installer ( over another issue ) he told me that I would save money if I was to leave it ON all the time. I thought...

    New Central Heating Problem

Before the boiler kicked in this AM I left the CH off AND room stat turned down to zero but kept the HW on. When the boiler fired up to warm the HW the hall rad started to heat up. It filled up with hot water from the same side it does when the CH is on, ie from the opposite side to the on/off...

    New Central Heating Problem

No, PEDANTICVINDICTIVEMAN it's not a stupid question. I just want to learn more about the problem so that if I do need to bring the Lone Ranger & Tonto back I will have some knowledge. Example, they re- connected my power shower and screwed it right up. They used an elbow joint on the hot...

    New Central Heating Problem

ChrisR - Yesterday I turned OFF the CH ( at the Room Stat programmer ) and turned the room stat down to zero. Hall rad remained on and was so hot I couldn't touch it. Have they screwed up on the install? Sorry I can't answer any of your technical questions as I don't understand the system well...

    New Central Heating Problem

I have just had a new central heating system installed. Boiler is system condensor. The rads, with exception of one, have individual thermostats. The rad with no thermostat apparently needs to be kept on at all times. The problem is that even though I turn the ROOM thermostat down to zero...

    Showerforce Showers

The reason I was thinking of changing the shower was that the guys who changed my boiler also rearranged the pipe work to the shower. I could not control the hot water temp after they did that. After reading the install instructions for the 1500XT I noted that it advised not to use elbow...

    Showerforce Showers

I want to upgrade my NT1000T to a 1500XT. They look the same shape etc. But are the shower support wall holes, water inlet pipes & electrics the same so I can just swap them or is it more technical than that.

    Power Shower

No, I checked and the setup is the same as the old plumbing ie none dedicated feed from tank. I have noticed however that the water from the taps is VERY hot. Could it be that the shower cannot cope with the high temp of the water and is over compensating with cold? I presume once the boiler...

    Power Shower

Sorry Brumylad, did you mean an expansion tank which is normally installed in the loft? If so then no. With a system type boiler I didn't think you needed one?

    Legal Requirments

I have found the Blue book. It has nothing written in it but I have been informed that the boiler has not been 'commissioned' yet - whatever that means?

    Power Shower

Yes, it was the new improved, built in lagging, heats very quickly type with emersion heater.
