no i dont have one of those useless neon things, i have a tester, I tested the neutral and live and that was spot on 240v, not tested the perm live except with a live wire indicator and that lit up like a christmas tree,

see what you mean, but whether I have the switch on or not the so called perm live wire is live, and the swich wire is either on or off depending, think i need a neutral somewhere, thanks for the help

i changed over the 2 live wires, the fan operates exactly the same, asin it comes on when i turn on and off etc. This is the 2nd fan!!

if i take out the perm live and connect it to switch live, do i then connect switch live into perm live hole

My advice would be to turn all other radiators off, turn on heating and see if it heats up. If it does then you have to balance out the system to get water to this rad. If it doesnt then you need to check water supply to this rad, you said only one valve had water coming out, you should have...

Hi, I have installed an extractor fan (inline) and have connceted Live and nuetral, also rana separate perm live to unit. It is on a pull switch on/off. Wjen on its no problem, when pull off it goes off but timer does not keep it on although I have a perm live to it, any ideas
