Why is this Agile so bitter sounding?! My engineer is a lovely bloke, did me a good job and gets abuse from him!! :lol:
I think he did what jackecole said a few posts ago, bypassed the interrupter and tested the thermocouple and still no good...
Have just had a new gasvalve fitted and the boiler works fine again :)
Agile: having read your post I spoke to my engineer and told him what you said. He said he DID check the overheat thermistor interrupter by removing it from the circuit and testing the thermocouple without it, and still...

I remember he said he tested it with a meter (I heard a little buzz noise)! I don't know if that was good but he said he removed the interupter and the pilot still wouldn't stay lit
