Thanks for the reply would the hot water go hot and cold if it's the DHW heat exchanger as it's staying a constant temperature at the moment just not very hot I also turned down the cold in and this increased the temperature slightly
My friends Vailant 824e is working fine on the heating side but hot water is low temperature around 35 degrees the temperature rises slightly when you reduce flow at tap.
The flow and return don't get hot when hot water is running so thinking it's not the diverter and the hot water doesn't go...
Thanks for the replys I shall ask my solicitor if there's a case to claim against as it wasn't obviously working at completion.
I assume then that the burner light should not be on constantly especially with nothing on?
I have just moved into a flat and have an Isar HE30 when you turn power on you get the burner light come on and stay on there is something on other display but you can't read it as it's only showing one piece of a letter or number I have tried resetting a number of times but nothing is happening...
Would the heating come on if the dhw was stuck on the diverter?
I was thinking maybe the flowswitch stuck open making the boiler think a tap is on.
Someone said it could be the pcb but am not sure.what makes the boiler lockout is it overheating?
I have a Potterton Combi 80 it's about 10 years old now and for the last few months when you turn the power on the boiler fires and carries on running for a few minutes. untill it goes into lockout this happens without hw or heating on.When you run the hotwater it runs very hot then lockouts...
