You DEFINITELY need GOOD lagging everywhere. And to be really fussy about stuff like joins, pipe clips, corners - everywhere heat escapes. Yes, definitely pump at slowest speed.

seocndary DHW circuit components help needed

The Vaillant timer-programmer (actually the VR 40 unit in the boiler) just feeds the brass pump with 240V mains during the scheduled times. I wonder if there's such a thing as a timer which could go between the VR40 and the pump, and give say 1 minute on every 4 minutes - I assume previous...

seocndary DHW circuit components help needed

The thing I've found with the secondary circulation is that even with lagging on everything it still wastes a lot of heat - the unistor cools much faster with it running. Hence the talk of PIRs. If you live somewhere where the heating is on 9 months of the year anyway, and your pipe runs are...

seocndary DHW circuit components help needed

I have this type , although my Ecotec is a 618 not a 624, installed this spring. Ecotec 618, Unistor, 2 CH zones controlled by VR 61, VRC 470, VR 81 upstairs as thermostat for the second zone, VR 40, grundfos brass pump. Also a USB eBus coupler and data logging on a PC, but that's another...

Can you get a central / ducted dehumidifier?

Hallo, We've got a need for a fairly permanent dehumidifier. It would be convenient to fit one in the large cupboard which contains our boiler, water tanks, and various machinery, with vents through the walls into the adjacent rooms which actually need dehumidifying. This would get it out of...

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

Google "vrdialog buy uk", there are a few places. I got mine from BHL. It took a while and was v dusty - had clearly been on the shelf for a long time wherever they'd finally found it. As for "latest versions", you're out of luck. You get whatever version is in the box. Possibly if you're...

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Either that was missing from my VR65, or my installer made a mistake. Certainly I have a thermostat attached to my cylinder in the manner you describe, but it's a Honeywell unit, not a Vaillant one. Cheers

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

It comes with a small black box that contains the interface hardware. Said box has 3 connections: USB, to your PC. Old connector, for pre-eBus boilers eBus connector (RJ socket). It comes with one of each type of cable as well. I have mine plugged in to the RJ socket on the boiler...

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

Jbubo, Many thanks for the reply. My version came with a version.txt file claiming:
vrDIALOG v2.0.0.10 vrDIALOG 810 v2.1.2.18
I do indeed get the room temperature reported. I log and graph it. It comes from the VRC400. Lots of screen-grabs at...

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

Well - I hope you're right and they do sell it in the UK - do you have any contacts at Vaillant UK who know about it? It isn't listed on their UK website and the people who answer their phones don't know anything about it

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

You are talking about vrnetdialog. Wonderful product, if it does what they claim, but they don't offer it in the UK.

    Vaillant vrdialog - anyone using?

Anyone using Vaillant's Vrdialog software? I've got this set up at home for data logging and remote control of the heating over the Internet. What I've done is a bit (lot) of a bodge - would be interested to hear from anyone else who is using it. http://www.hx7.net/vaillant/how.html is what...
