Hi
Looking to replace the bar valve and seperate riser rail for a new bar valve with fixed overhead shower and handset on our unvented system.
The issue is ceiling height as we only have 94cm from top of current bar to the ceiling.
First had a look at the aqualisa dual - it has threads...
thanks fella, i have ordered some loctite 55 from fleabay (why does it seem out of stock most normal places) and will source some ls-x.
i wish i had never touched the bloody thing lol (i am no handyman or plumber!)
Hi all,
following my lack of hot water pressure and newly replaced nrv, i decided to update my bar mixer as the old one was looking rather tired.
However, having had the thing on and off the wall about 5 times, i cannot get it to stop weeking completely.
I have used lots of ptfe on the...
thanks guys, popped to toolstation this morning and got a new nrv for a few quid, fitted it myself (i am no handyman believe me!) and showering pleasure has been restored
cheers
Thanks all, will pop out to get a new valve tomorrow. Its it just turn off water, drain cylinder by running hot taps, use spanner either side of valve and replace?
Thank you
Hi
Something that has literally deveoped overnight. Ultrasteel unvented cylinder set up.
Direct hot feed (literally 1metre) to bar shower mixer has low pressure when turning temp to wamer settings.

Hi
We have yellow render on the outside of our townhouse. Where the external gutter has overflowed (now clear!), the water has caused the finsih to become blacker and duller. Is a fungicidal wash likely be able to bring the colour back or is it a lost cause?
thanks
Sunil
well got the heating working now, after juggling a lone brown wire lol
thanks for the input
yep joining 3 to 1 didnt work, just shorted the fuse box lol
ok thanks, so i should just remove the additional wiring for the scr then to allow the honeywell to take full control?
what is a god make of wireless thermostat to replace the drayton please?
lol thanks
sorry the honeywell is just a timer and the drayton was added as a thermostat & more timer options so the drayton scr just takes over the heating part with the honeywell set to "cont"
am i better off doing this instead?

Looking at the thermostat, looks ok with flame on but no lights on SCR - not even a red one. Tried hitting override button and the unit buzzed loudly and green light came...
