    Boiler keeps cutting out

He can't make it until the weekend so I wanted to try to diagnose as much as possible beforehand. One thing I have now tried was to manually rotate the three way valve almost fully to HW (to heat the hot water system as much as possible) and now the boiler seems to keep going. It cuts in and...

    Boiler keeps cutting out

An engineer replaced the thermocouple as he thought it was just a problem with the pilot light going out. It seemed to have fixed the problem (for 24hours) but today it became clear that the boiler was actually cutting out rather than not starting up. I'm now wondering if we might need to bite...

    Boiler keeps cutting out

Hi, I have a very old Ideal Mexico Super RS65 boiler that until this week has remained very reliable. After it has been running for around 5 to 10 minutes there is a click from the gas valve and both the burners and the pilot go out. I can reignite the pilot immediately using the spark igniter...

    Which Shower Mixer Bar

I hadn't considered a flow rate. It just needs to have an average flow. It will just have a fairly standard shower head, no jets.

    Which Shower Mixer Bar

Yes a thermostatic one up to around £150-£200. I saw a nice Contour one in B&Q but they'd sold out, and a nice looking Metro one in Bathstore, but I've no idea how reliable they might be. Do they all come with those 'S' or 'Z' connectors that often leak?

    Which Shower Mixer Bar

Can anyone recommend a good reliable make of shower mixer bar to work with a 2 bar pumped supply?

    Which Shower Pump

Stuart Turner it is then and probably from Screwfix. I only need it to supply one shower with a fairly standard shower head and no body jets, so i imagine the 2 bar model should be good enough. Thanks.

    Which Shower Pump

Apologies if this has been covered many times before. I'm planning on getting a Stuart Turner Monsoon 2bar positive head pump to power my shower. There is fairly good hot and cold gravity fed supply pressure to the pump. However, before I go ahead I'd just like to ask for opinions on this...

    shower pump pipework design

Thanks guys. I'm not sure what size the essex flange on the tank is and it will be a while befoe I get to drain the tank. I found a 3/4male to 22mm compression which looks about right, will that fit? We shouldn't have any issues regarding hot water pressure, I was just making a point really...

    shower pump pipework design

Hi Madrab, I was afraid that might be the case. I've had another look and may be able to dismantle a stud wall to hide a dedicated C/W pump feed behind. I was planning on taking the H/W feed from a blanked off fitting about 6" below the top of the hot tank. I think the tank is old as other...

    shower pump pipework design

I'm planning on installing a Stuart Turner pump for a shower as well, but I'm struggling to find a suitable route to get a dedicated cold feed to the pump. Is it really a no no to tee into the existing 22mm cold supply to the bathroom? Afterall the H/W supply to the pump will be affected by the...
