the keypad has a drop down cover over the buttons close it when the alarm is unset and the alarm goes off. leave the lid/cover down and the alarm works perfectly normal simple as that !

I have just installed an Optima Gen 4 all OK but the remote LCD panel has me puzzled ! In unset mode showing time and date if the lid is open the alarm activates if I close it Is this normal or should the lid be closed immediately after punching keys ?
