I am planning to remove a 10 foot long internal plaster board wall. The ceiling boards run up to each side of the wall framing. What is the best way to cover the 4 inch gap which will be left in the ceiling once I take the frame down?

Thanks for the quick reply. The loft is covered with insulation and is partially covered with floorboards. I just wondered if there was a convention that was always followed. I will go investigate today in the loft :)

I have just moved into a bungalow built in 1984. I was wondering if the electrics are likely to be in the attic or under the floorboards. Thanks!
