I have just had the bedroom skimmed with multi finish plaster.How long before I can paint it?Is there any preparation I need to do first or can I just use a watered down emulsion as a base coat and then finish with topcoat.Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :?

I've just moved the washing machine in my kitchen and now the waste hose won't reach the sink outlet.Can i just by another hose and plug them both together or will they leak?Any help/advice greatly appreciated :(

JUST BOUGHT A NEW GAS COOKER.THE GAS INLET ON THE COOKER IS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO THE OLD COOKER.ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE NEW COOKER ,THE GAS SUPPLY HOSE SHOULD NOT GO BEHIND THE COOKER.CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MUCH A GAS FITTER IS LIKELY TO CHARGE ME TO EXTEND THE EXISTING GAS PIPE...
