    Front Yard Rennovation

I am planning on renovating our front yard. I think much of it is the same since the house was built back in the Victorian era. I think there will be a few main components: - A solid surface to cover everything, i.e existing weeds, gravel, old concrete path. My thinking is then it would be...

    Replacing Old Loft Hatch

I want to replace the old loft hatch in our house because it's not well insulated, looks bad etc. Basically it's just a thin bit of old wood. I looked at a pre-built new plastic loft hatch in B&Q but unfortunately I think the structural opening is too small for it. Also, there is a raised wooden...

How to Fill Small Hole Between New Back Door and Wall

I phoned the company that fitted the door and they said pretty much the same thing and that over time, this rubbing would reduce, so I think I am happy with this answer. They said they would send someone round today to fix the hole.

How to Fill Small Hole Between New Back Door and Wall

Thanks for your advice, I think the best idea is to ask him to come back and do that quick fix. Going off on a bit of a tangent here, but I also noticed there is a small amount of friction at the bottom of the door when I start to open it, i.e something on the bottom of the door seems to be...

How to Fill Small Hole Between New Back Door and Wall

Would it be fair to ask the fitter to come back and do it?

How to Fill Small Hole Between New Back Door and Wall

I have just had a new back door fitted, I am pleased with the work, but there is a small hole between it and the wall/skirting board. I can feel quite a strong blast of cold air coming through, so it would be great to get that sealed. What kind of material would be best to fill it with? It is...

New Fridge Doesn't Fit Inside Kitchen Cabinet

The old fridge feezer that was fitted in the space was shoved right up against the house wall and just a few mm in each side in the cabinet, so according to the manual not enough ventilation space. Maybe why it broke? What I like about the new fridge freezer is it's just big enough for our...

    Water Damaged Kitchen Cupboard Doors

    Water Damaged Kitchen Cupboard Doors

Maybe, it came with the house when we brought it. I will try and find it on the Tesco website but even if they did sell it I expect its now discontinued.

New Fridge Doesn't Fit Inside Kitchen Cabinet

I had to buy a new fridge because the old one wasn't working. Unfortunately I couldn't find one that was small enough to fit properly inside the unit/cupboard the old one was housed inside, so had to take off the unit doors. It all looks a bit ugly now. Any ideas for a nice looking solution? I...

    Water Damaged Kitchen Cupboard Doors

Some of the cupboard fronts in our kitchen have been damaged by water over time causing the material to bubble. What would be the cheapest/most effective way to fix this? I think it might be difficult/impossible trying to find an exact colour match if I had to buy new doors as the units are...

    Loose Felt Inside Attic

Some felt under the roof is loose inside our attic, please see attached picture. What would be a cheap way to fix this? The roof is old and might need replacing soon, but it's still basically watertight, so would be great to fix this little problem until then.

How to Stop Kitchen Cupboard Opening too Far

Fixed, thanks very much. Found some hinges laying around that were perfect, so no money spent either :)

How to Stop Kitchen Cupboard Opening too Far

Yes, I think the shelves inside would be called half moon, they just rotate inside, so if the hinges went to a maximum of 180 degrees that would be perfect I think. Is there a specific name for that type of hinge?
