Yes, I remember now, there was a soap dish there. I did finally get a replacement tile. The problem is that wherever I find instructions for replacing it, it assumes that that the drywall or cement backerboard is intact.

I do not know why the tile fell off. I do not know why underneath there is a hole. The surrounding tiles are secure. I will try to post pics of the larger area later.

Hi, I have a missing shower tile. The problem is that there is no drywall or cement backerboard immediately behind it. I would prefer not to have to replace the whole wall. Any suggestions?
