    It looks pretty much the same from both sides. It always worries me that one day it might break, they are not the most securely fitten in the door so need to replace the wooden borders. Not sure if it ever did break it would be the cheapest thing to repair.

    I would say so. However Im pretty sure there is no treatment to any part of the door, just natural wood. No Oil/Wax/Varnish or anything. Maybe that helped. And when say Rot I'm not talking majorly, and there is no damp. Its just....... weak throughout if that makes sense. What do you mean...
