The frame is actually connected directly on to the wall. It was just unfortunate that the foam board does not fully fit the depth.
Should I just place wool insulation behind the board to pad it all out, and then foam spray any gaps around the to make it air tight?
My house is very cold so I have decided to try insulating my living room wall. It's the inside being insulated as the house is in a conservation area, meaning the outside is a no go.
I have built a stud wall and placed foil back foam boards snugly into the frame. As the room is not huge, the...
The question says it all really.
I have just put in a new toilet. Everything seems fine, but it does have a constant trickle into the bowl. It's hardly noticible... but I noticed and now can't unsee it.
Is there a simple fix for this? Is it something to do with the float?
Everything is brand new.
I will clarify a little more.
The sink is rather large, but will be stood on a pedestal. The wall attachment will be to make sure its held closely to the wall.
The wall is timber and plasterboard.
Hello.
I purchased a new sink online and plan to fit it tomorrow.
It will be put on a plasterboard wall, but the fittings it arrived with look wrong.
I have attached an image of what it came with, but there were zero instructions included.
Is this type of fitting for a masonary wall?
If it...
Hello,
I have a Hive thermostat but it keeps changing the current time by 10 minutes.
I change the time setting and save it with the current time, which works.
Later in the day I go back, and the clock has gone back by exactly 10 minutes- every single time I do this.
What's going on?
Hello.
I have used dot and dab to put some plasterboard onto a brick wall so I can tile it.
Is it possible to tile onto the board without screwing the board into the wall? Does dot and dab hold some decent weight?
I'm only putting subway tiles on
I have had to draw this because I dont know the name of it to google it.
It's basically a flat ended screw, but it screws into a tidy cap end.
The screw can be tightened into the cap end, or the cap end can be tightened into the screw as it also has a screwable head
I'm just looking for...
The top corner of my kitchen wall started to crumble a bit. I used a paper scraper to remove it.
There is a radiator/water pipe behind this section of wall. The pipes have turned green but are not wet. In fact, nothing there appears to be wet, but that corner of wall is almost dust now.
I have...
Thanks. Do you think gaps would be noticable if I use this method?
Also, will it be ok to varnish after?
I dont want oily marks in the wood where i apply it etc.
I have put a small amount of parquet flooring down for the first time.
It looks really nice, but annoyingly has a few small gaps around where the border and other pieces meet.
What is the best way to fill these gaps so it is not noticable?
I am reading that mixing sawdust with PVA is a big...
