    Also, as a quick aside, wuold you recommend making a small wooden base for the shed rather than just placing it on the tarmac? I would have thought that it could ten be subject to damage from standing water.

    The ice itself did not remove the olive, (whether it had moved I dont know), the plumber pulled it off. But if it isnt normally 'crimped' into the pipe then I guess that it has been fitted properly.
