I see, thanks for your answer....so even if I increased the size of the tank which would hold more water say from a 4gal to a 24gal, it wouldn't make any difference to the pressure at all? This is because I can't raise the height as I'm only on a single floor. Thanks again!

Sorry, what do you mean my overflow pouring? At present I'm still stuck with this problem and am unsure about the pump solution as my fortic tank might not have enough capacity for the pump. I may have to give up and call in a plumber....

Thanks corgiman, I have no choice as I have already purchased and installed the mixer and basin which cannot be returned now. My main concern is someone told me that if I had less than 40gal on my fortec tank then I can't use the pump, is this correct? also should i use a postive or negative...

Seems like I will only need a single impeller pump as can't fit pump on cold water mains. Anyway, another question is dose anyone know what is the difference between a Positive and Negative pump? also I think I have what is known as a fortic tank, would this hold enough water capacity for the pump?

Thanks Guys! been of most help so far, I'm all too new to this and thought it was a good idea to have the convenience of a mixer rather than two separate taps (as hot tap water is always too hot to the touch). From what I can work out the cold is from the mains I guess thats why the pressure is...

Emm...can anyone confirm I can resolve this problem by simply adding a shower pump such as the Newteam Varispeed SI single impeller to the hot water only, would this work? Anyone? Thanks!

Both would be the case and surely thats how it was design and built. Please can anyone offer more technical view on how this issue can be resolved, sure its simple once you know how.

Hi, I just replaced my two single tap with a mixer (hansgrohe axor basin mixer) but for some reason the hot water is so weak/poor while the cold is very strong. Hi, did you manage to resolve this problem? I'm also having the same problem with my new mixer tap which replaces the two single old tap. The hot water on the mixer is very weak but the cold is very strong, how can this be corrected? any suggestion would be most appreciated.
