When the tap is turned the pin moves out very slowly and eventually switches the flow switch on and starts the boiler. Hope this helps???

Dave,] Don't think they checked much by the looks of things! I thought those small suilver pipes came out of the central heating diaphragm valve, will this still have an effect? Someone at work suggested that they might have put the diaphragm in the wrong way! Would I be able to check...
