This is a strange forum - I am following with interest. But am inclined to go ahead as planned, without trucking, as per suggestions. Thank you all for your input. Including, what seems the legalistic and esoteric advise of Mr Sheds, which has derailed proceedings somewhat.
Are you trying to say that domestic sockets are not suited for use on a (standard) 32A radial, ever? I find it hard to believe this would be unsafe, but what would you have me do here?
There are no regs - this is Belfast, part P does not apply. I called building control, asking if I could do the work, had to have notify / have the work inspected, if I needed to employ an electrician because it's the kitchen etc. they said there are currently no regulations covering...
I have no idea what's being said about the sockets. I was planning on following the normal radial circuit diagram, connecting via the terminals in the sockets.
What's this about? Because I was going to put it in trunking? I don't want to make a ring, really. Going up to 6mm seems crazy. I could just clip it to the wall, but that doesn't seem right? It's not going to be visible or anything so I'm very much open to that.
Bought a house. Wiring re-done in 2000's, memera 2000 CU. Kitchen has dedicated 40A connection for cooker running outside house, leaving that alone. Only two double sockets in kitchen coming in nasty trunking down from ceiling - 20A. I plan on replacing with a 32A MCB and 4mm core cable as a...
