the model number is 50/4e, the bolier seems to shut down sometimes as soon as it fires up, and then keeps attempting to get going again other times there is nothing for 2-3 days thanks

thanks mr crow, its a fustrating problem, when i have had plumbers/gas fitters in the house doing other jobs and mention the problem the bugger always fires up and works normally, its getting worse now so at least i have an idea of what the problem could be cheers

thanks for the reply, it is a back boiler, and is only 2 years old, and has been serviced the gas valve working intermittently sounds good to me i have no knowledge at all of back boilers, so its useful to have some idea of what could be wrong thanks again

i have had a long running problem, heating and water ok for a few days then nothing for a few days i can hear the bolier firing up and then shutting down i never know when it will be working and not working any help appreciated
