Thanks. Tiles are all up I am guessing it’s ashhalt for the sub some of it chipped away looks black all the way through so it wouldn’t be concrete with painted bitumen. What’s odd is the blue material under the tiles. The floor ship said this might have been a DPM but not sure why it’s there as...
I have taken up tiles in the kitchen and some lino. Half the floor was tiles half was lino. Under is what appears to look like black tiles. However they are not tiles. I have read this could be asphalt, bitumen paint or bitumen for sticking down old marley tiles. I am leaning toward it was used...
Probably or the tapes the wrong way round. It’s a virtical rad and to get that fitting out I would have to take off both thermostats I just can’t be arsed it’s caused me that much hassle.
Fair play I’ll leave it for now I have a feeling the threads are broken inside the rad which I guess is a new rad. Just spent a week and three complete drain downs to get this rad on and some heat in the house. It’s not coming off
No don’t do it or nooooo it won’t block it I’m kind of thinking leave it the risk is too high. There no pressure drop and the drops are that small there’s no flooding risk
I have added a new rad to my system and it’s in a tight spot. One of the valves is leaking basically the bit you screw into the rad i think it’s too far in and cracked. I can’t really take it off as it was a nightmare and it’s risks messing other stuff up.
The system is microbore. I’ve tried...
Well there is an old thermostat on the wall. However I have never changed the temp on it I just turn the heating off and on as needed no idea if it’s in the system. I suspect not as for external controls the boiler manual page 29...
Ah I did wonder about this the boiler still needs power so I just keep the existing wires in the top block and also add mine in with the others to the bottom connection got it.
thanks
It’s exactly the same boiler. He had the additional issue he had the wrong hive as well one that does hot water and CH. I have the single so in I should be ok. I will remove the bottom wires from the top terminal replace with live/nuet/ earth from the ‘new 5 core. Wire these into the hive...
