I've located the switch and sure enough, the pin wasn't fully retracting. I've lubricated the pin, it retracts and now the fan runs.
I'll keep an eye on it because the diaphragm will probably need replacing. Do you know the part number I need ?

The slow-running fan on my 80SP recently stopped. The fan runs at full speed when hot water is called for, both DHW and CH. I've had the resistor (the rectangular gold one screwed to the underside of the combustion chamber) checked and it shows 605 ohms, 8% over the norm. I've checked...
