i am stripping of the old tiles and plaster on the shower side of the bathroom and putting up hardibacker boards on the wall, do screw these on as well as sticking with tile adhesive tile sizes are 330 x 500 :?:

if i remove the old chipboard and replace with 25mil wbp do i need to use durabase matting :?:
