Just tested the newly installed pump and it is indeed not working. Taking it back to the merchants tomorrow. Will report back once the replacement has been installed. Thanks for the help and advice chaps.

I may have used the wrong terminology. Building Control specified 150mm insulation board between trusses (leaving 50mm air gap), OSB diaphragm to underside of rafters, then 12.5mm vapour check plasterboard on the OSB. It's to stop something happening anyway :lol:
