Thanks for your fast reply, the circuit is protected by the consumer unit (rcd), one run will be vertical through a new stud wall and another will be horizontal between two existing sockets, hopefully the testing of the circuit will be carried out by a qualified electrician in a few weeks time...

Hi, my plumber has just fitted the twintech but i think it's been fitted wrong, the return pipe is fitted to the top joint which has an arrow pointing out and the other pipe is fitted to the bottom joint with the arrow pointing in this then connects to the boiler, i would have thought arrows...

It's the fan that is faulty, the engineer called today and managed to get the boiler lit ,the fan kept jamming up so he lubricated it and eventually the fan kept going and is still going, to be on the safe side he has ordered a replacement for next week.

I didnt say the aps had anything to do with the fan, i'm just stating what fault error the boiler states, if the fan is working then it must be the aps according to the fault error led's, it would be nice if you or some one else could actually state what the aps does and why it should stop the...

Had the boiler front off and sometimes the fan spins for 10-20 secs then stops and led's flash other times just creeps round a little bit then stops and led flash, does that mean that the aps is faulty, just want to get an idea of whats wrong before i call the enginer. It had a new pcb and...

Is there a way to check if it's the aps or fan, can the aps be bypassed to see if the fan starts. thanks

Thanks to all the replies, synchron motor was goosed so replaced and now working also replaced the leaking gate valve and whilst i had it drained down replaced three trv's, just got to repair the fault on the boiler. //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=204104 thanks again.

Amongst other problems which i posted earlier i now have a fault with the boiler, led error lights indicate fan/aps fault, can this be repaired by me or is it a corgi job. Any idea of cost if it's corgi or does anyone know what glow worm charge. thanks

Not had chance to check the valve yet as its in the loft, if the stat is not working would the motor still work, just looking at all probable causes for when i go up. thanks

Thanks for the quick replies, the water dosnt get hot when valve latched open, could the faulty gate valve be stuck in the closed position stopping the flow of water because when turned it doesnt feel attached to anything. thanks

Central heating works but no hot water, the honeywell 2 port valve doesnt open when water is called for, even if i manually open the valve the water doesnt heat up, how can i check if the valve if goosed, also there is a gate valve fitted between the 2 port valves which has started to leak water...
