    conservatory footings

the builders dug a decent trench for the dwarf wall (500mm wide x 750mm deep approx) and now filled with concrete leaving about 250mm to the original garden level waiting for the crush n run / membrane etc to be laid. But... this trench is about 750mm short of the house on both sides? Any reason...

Air to Heat pump for conservatory

See what you're saying but.... where does this 6kW max heating output figure come from? Thanks again!!

Air to Heat pump for conservatory

Thing is.... I'm not really understanding what the 3.5kW is relevant to? Are you saying that this is totally dependant on the outside temp? Looking at the max heating output of the CS-E12MKW unit from the data sheet it says 6kw? With a COP of just over 4, then I'm ,looking at power consumption...

Air to Heat pump for conservatory

That big really? They chuck out 8kW heating. Thought 6kW might do? Are these a certifiable installation etc? Will be providing the separate supply from new RCBO which is Part P etc etc

Air to Heat pump for conservatory

Thinking of going for this type of installation for a proposed 6 x 3.5m conservatory as opposed to UFH/rads. Any thoughts / experience of these? Poss 3.5kW model? http://www.comfortableclimates.co.uk/Panasonic%20Etherea%20Heat%20Pump%20-%20Aircon.html?category_id=94 Thanks

Conservatory glass & heating help reqd

Don't want a ploycarb roof as too noisy when it lashes down? This type of roof and triple glazed glass is the best one for heat loss apparently? Been told we can't extend the central heating system into the conserv as it's against Building regs....

    Heating in a conservatory

OK thanks for your info. Hopefully this new mega low U-value triple glazed glass has slightly better insulation than the stuff you got in 2006 Richard. Apparently they've been triple glazing in Scandinavia as the norm for years and having lived in Sweden for a year I never encountered frosty...

    Heating in a conservatory

Posted in windows section but maybe better answers in here.... I know that in winter they are pretty unusable unless you go overboard on the heating system, but any advice on whether elec UFH (quoted at £1600 for 18m2 of 20mm insulation, 15m2 200w/m2 mat / latex screed) is better than a...
