Having just moved, the ivy around the summer house is growing rapidly. Could i trim it back with a hedge trimmer?

LOL, yeh we moved house & the ivy was already here all over the summer house. Dont want to kill it, just keep it well trimmed

Hedge trimmer will be fine. It might go a bit brown if you trim back hard but ivy is pretty indestructable.
