Insect infestation?

This is an odd request but do not know who to ask.

Over the past couple of years from April to July we find these little things behind furniture and under the bed, especially in one room.
They are light in colour and about 8/10mm long, they really look like seeds.

Any ideas as to what they maybe?

Grains of rice?

No - they are carpet moth larvae.

You can get a spray to treat your carpet but I think you need to treat it at a certain time of year in order for it to be effective.
Not used these products myself so can't comment on their efficacy but worth having a look at.

Thanks all for the advice, carpet moths they seem to be therefore have ordered a carpet moth killer, just hope it works.
