Hi,

I'm undertaking an extension. A small section is the original house with solid stone walls with no DPC. When I stripped the plaster there was a corrugated plastic strip from floor level to about a metre up the wall, this was dfamaged so i ripped it out.

Just wondered if there is something similar on the market to put back as I will be dot and dabbing so don't want to issues with damp. I can't seem to find the right products with what I am searching on google. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Adam

I once had some thing like this in a previous house, 'cept if was corrogated tar board. Its purpose was to evaporate the damp coming through the failed damp course and allow the stain to appear where the board ended.

Thanks both. Frank - thats the stuff, the corrugated tar board is what I took out due to it being damaged.
Freddy, the newlath product looks like what i am after, wasn't sure how to describe it or what it was called. As long as it allows for the moisture in the wall to evaporate it should work.

Cheers

Why did you remove the original plaster?

Is the interior floor solid?

My view is dont Dot & Dab a damp wall whether the wall is tanked or not.

If you posted pics of both sides of the wall(s) in question it would be easier to advise you.
