Morning guys,

I need some advise, we're in the middle of remodeling our kitchen and would like to remove the pantry wall to free up some space but this wall runs about 3/4 under the stairs. We have the a winder style stair case with stingers on either side. We just want to make sure that there wont be any issues if we take out this wall.

Many thanks

I guess the first question - is it a stud or brick. If it's stud, it should be able to come out.
If it's brick, then my suggestion would be to get someone round to look at it to double check.

Going up the stairs you have a brick wall on the right and a partition on the left below the stringer.

Part of the partition has already been removed - is your plan to remove the rest of it?

Why not mark on your pics exactly what you want to remove?

If the stairs finish straight at the top (ie not with winders as at the bottom) you can remove the wall underneath. It will probably be made of timber studs and will not be supporting the stairs.
