I have a 6 or 8 inch conduit pipe from the pavement to the inside of my home. MDPE water pipe is carried through it. Do I need to block it to protect against rats? If so, how? If I use an expanding foam, then wouldn't replacing the pipe years later be a problem? What's the proper way?

I would like to have a full glass door between my kitchen and hallway in order to allow light through. 1. What are the regs regarding safety glass for this? 2. What are the regs for fire? I don't want the metal lines inside the glass for obvious reasons.
