Hi, First post on here. i would like to raise the height of my joists to build a chipboard loft floor over the insulation which is roughly 8" in depth. The current joists are 4"x2". On top of these joists running at 90 deg are 2 x 8"x2" timbers (binders) ?? so my question is do i use 8"x2"...
