Got an old 4ft fluorescent light in my utility room thats pretty much died. I want to get rid and put a LED batten up. My question is can i connect the new LED directly to the wires that the current fluorescent is connected to once i've removed it?

Hi, we had a smart meter fitted today which meant the electric needed to be off and the amber fault triangle appeared on the panel. So I know what caused it but I have no idea how to turn it off. I've reviewed the logs and it says mains failure. Can anyone tell me how to clear it please? EDIT...
