Hi Lee, any idea if this functionality is in the Intergas HRE system boiler? If not, what are my options?

Weather compensation & Wireless TRV control

I didn't but I know the theory now: http://www.atmos.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/TDS003-Weather-compensation-and-stored-hot-water.pdf. That's quite a n old doc. I'll find out if this is still applicable to the newer Intergas boilers. Imagine it is.

Weather compensation & Wireless TRV control

Ok, after much research I have decided to not got for EvoHome yet since it will cost £1500 to kit out the whole house. It's tough as I love a gadget and I'm really really into the smart system idea but I think prices must come down significantly in the next 18 months as competition increases...

Weather compensation & Wireless TRV control

Ah ok, so do you mean the Evohome overrides any data from the WC sensor (but is able to regulate the flow temperature because the boiler supports OpenTherm)? If so, does that mean there's no point in getting the WC sensor for the Intergas?

Weather compensation & Wireless TRV control

Thanks Dan. I really want this to work (excited by both) but I'm concerned that the weather compensation and evoHome will conflict with each other. I'm not confident that they have been designed to work together. Can you go further to explain how they work together?

Weather compensation & Wireless TRV control

I've just moved in to new house and am designing from ground up as old boiler and cylinder are broken beyond repair. I spoke to Vaillant about using Evo in combination with their weather compensation and they told me it's one or the other but not both. I also spoke to Honeywell and the...

    Unvented meltdown

Thank you all for your answers. This makes sense. We have been turning the immersion on an off a couple of times a week so that may have accelerated the problem. I've got some confidence around the issue and we might be able to fix it in the short term before replacing in a couple of months...

    Unvented meltdown

Corroded terminal by wads posted 17 Jul 2015 at 11:59 PM Hi. I moved into a new house in feb 15. The boiler was broken so we decommissioned it and the heating. We reverted to using the immersion heater of the Ariston 500 STI Unvented system for hot water only. We ran out of hot water today...

Hi, I've got a small curved garden wall that forms the boundary to a raised flower bed. The wall has been built with landscaping bricks with random relief. I want the wall to be smooth so I am in the process of rendering it. My question is how do I achieve a true 90 degree arris/edge of...
