Thanks Dave, I had checked and he was regisered, i got the pilot to light again shortly after he had gone.... i left and can back the following day and it was out again, i have been unable to light it since!

thanks Agile, i don't think the fitter has done anything wrong infact i think he has done a good job, I thought it may have been the thermocouple but there is not even a flicker when i try to ignight it, i also cannot see and arc from the ignigtor... is this normal for when the thermocouple...

Lead is at a premium at the moment and will keep going up! keep it safe, it looks like a better investment for the grandchildren than property at the moment!!!!!

By a roll of flash band an a small gas torch to do a quick/cheap patch job... be carful tho!
