I'm currently estimating number of bricks & blocks for my extensions. :( How much sand / concrete do I need? Is there a rough formula? Extension1 approx 4600 bricks / 770 blocks. Extension2 approx 4100 bricks / 685 blocks. Ta in advance. Dave.

I'm having an extension done soon and I obviously need to put sockets & lights in it. I've done quite a bit of electrical work in the past but haven't got Part P. :roll: I don't intend to put in another fuseway I was just going to splice into the relevant circuits and add the extra sockets...

First post, but what a great forum! I am going to be building 2x extensions to my home shortly. My architect has speced Thermalite Shield 100mm blocks the local Travis perkins says that he only stocks Celcon. :roll: Question is which Celcon block is equivalent to the Thermalite Shield?
