I had overheating on my Worcester 350 RSF off and on for a long time. It's annoying because the clock forgets its settings. Finally I got so mad with setting the clock that I fixed it by bodging in a couple of AA NICADs (see pic).

The old one broke off, and I was too chicken to dig it out. Made this from a clip-on one, with a parallel resistor and a science experiment (ice, boiling water) to get the resistance right.
Exactly the same thing happened to me. To be fair to your service engineer, the sensor seemed to have disintegrated. It wasn't a brute force issue, at least in my case - honest!
I have been trying to get the 8-716-120-633-0 part. No chance. I'll try the screwdriver trick.
OK, I admit to the occasional wry smile at this thread.
This was only a temporary fix in my case. Eventually my machine needed new brushes.

Hi Wookiie, glad it got you going, although if you're cleaning that much carbon out, your brushes may not be long for this world. Ultimately I had to get the brushes changed on mine.

I just fixed this problem on my WFL2000. Find the wiring loom to the motor from underneath. Carefully cut the cable tie holding the wires and plastic protective sheet. Remove and re-seat the wiring multiplug and the earth spade connector on the motor. I didn't use any contact cleaner, just...
