Problem solved by my step-son who got everything set up for us this evening. Ariston now working just fine. Thanks everyone :lol:

we have been given an Ariston W/M but drain hose not long enough. Bought longer hose from DIY shop but the ends are different... especially that end connecting inside machine. any advice very welcomr to this non-expert granddad. Thanks
