    40cdi internal thermostat replacement

ha :) Actually solid wall 1780's place with 33-36cm thick walls outside, no insulation on them, and 17 rads and lots of heat loss, so kindof just about copes mid winter.. been slowly pulling back internal walls to add in 50mm insulation, so hopefully yes in a year or so when its time to replace...

I removed the motorised value, it's closed, so all good, but metal bracket is in closed position but heat gets though, must...

700mm worktop depth, 570mm depth cabinets, how to fit cabinet? Add planed wood to back?

Sounds like I was not far off, maybe bit overkill the thickness of the wood. There will be a heavy belfast sink there, definitely want to support around the back of that.

700mm worktop depth, 570mm depth cabinets, how to fit cabinet? Add planed wood to back?

Hello All We have a 700mm worktop deopth (2.4m length) on order, idea is we get an extra 10cm at the back to put stuff behind sink ect. If the base units are standard depth (wickes), so 570mm, and there is a 20mm overhand at the front, that is 590mm... which then means we end up with c110mm at...

Battons or chase first, daft query of the day

Solid walls, no cavity, c33-36cm thick. 50mm red grade tp roof battons, with 50mm insulation between. PB 12 5mm Board on top with vp layer. Aim to avoid cutting into insulation, so chasing, ajnd cannot insulate over battons, other reasons. Cables chased in wall, not on wall.

Battons or chase first, daft query of the day

Hi Now I may be being a bit daft here... I was going to have two external solid walls chased inside for cable runs. Instead of me renting chaser tool ect I asked electrician and he said to, 'fit all the battons first and he can chase around them.' It is c21 metres he needs to chase overall...
